Legislative obligation to display information about complaints processes (Section 95 notices)
All health service providers must provide information (in a prominent position at their premises) about a consumer’s right to make complaints under the Human Rights Commission Act 2005, and under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (ACT) 2010. It is a strict liability criminal offence for a provider to fail to do so.
Please contact the Commission if you would like us to provide you with an A4 poster which you can use for this purpose. Alternatively, providers may wish to incorporate the required information into their own information sheets, brochures or other signage.
